Math Lincs is a collaborative project for 5th and 6th grade math students around the world. We will be sharing our math ideas in a variety of math projects which will be organized by strands. We will use a variety of technologies including blogging, videos, podcasting, GoogleEarth and video conferencing.

Deadlines for group participation in the Mathlincs project have passed. But your are more than welcome to use the ideas and resources here to participate and collaborate in similar activities. Many of these projects have taken a life of their own and continue to be a part of classrooms around the world.

Learning Targets:
  • I can ask good questions and make real world connections to the math I am using in class.
Activities:
Skype an Expert: Students will skype and poll a panel of "experts" from many different occupations and locations to find out how they use math in the real world. This will be an ongoing project throughout the year.

Ongoing resource throughout the year. (We still need people to SKYPE)
